Another user suggested Markdown.

1. The assignee must have Email notifications enabled in his account settings.

2. If the assignee still doesn't receive notifications when a new bug is assigned to him, it's possible that he has unsubscribed from receiving our emails.

It's not currently integrated with Damn Bugs, both systems are treated separately.
