The new interface is bad. All the old bug reports does not show up in bug report page. always look empty to me,

interface is hard to navigate and not integrated like the old interface. I tried to bot use the beta as much as I could until I was forcefully made to use the new interface. The bug report page always seemed empty to me. I view the page on my mobile and rarely had chance to use it on desktop so I have yet to see how it look there. But so far, need better interface for mobile. Also, the user page is missing the option to select and add internal users.

Hi Lovepanicy,

Thank you for your feedback.

Lean Testing is not (yet) intended to be used on mobile. It is primarily designed to be a work tool. 97% of our users use it at work on a desktop, that's primarily how we think of it.

While we will address this eventually, until then you will undeniably have a much, much better experience on desktop than you would on mobile. A mobile device is not particularly well-suited to conduct testing activities. It may be useful to review information on mobile, but it's not really conducive to good testing work including exhaustive bug writing.

That is to say; I really encourage you to use Lean Testing on a desktop.

Also, there was never the possibility of adding internal users anywhere else than in the organization settings. The risk of confusion is too great. If you accidentally add someone to your internal users but should've added them to your external users, suddenly you've just given this person access to all your projects.

This is why we only allow adding internal users in the Organization settings page.

Thank you again for your feedback, if you have any other specific item that we can address, by all means please share it with us!

Thanks,

Simon

Hi lean testing,

I echo the words of Lovepanicy. I do not understand what is good about the new interface to be honest.

Not being able to see list of defects with required columns is a big downside of the new interface. Please let us use the old interface. Show list of defects with just the description is absurd. I'm totally stuck this morning with being forced to use the new interface.

Thanks,

Rahul

Thank you for the fast response. I use it mostly on mobile because I only need to review what was posted by testers. The old interface responded well in both desktop and mobile. I never had problem with it. The quick link from overview in the old interface was neat. Which was why it is frustrating when the beta implemented.

Regard internal users, shouldn't it be possible to allow remove of users as well? Thus accidental add can be remove. And if changed mind later about a person involvement with the project, can add or remove .

I agree with Lovepanicy and I have a similar usecase, I check Leantesting on mobile. I use it in desktop as well

I prefer the previous version, it worked just fine on mobile and desktop version was "leaner".

This does not feel like an upgrade.

I echo the above - I check Lean Testing on desktop, not mobile, and I preferred being able to see all of the bugs at once, and search through them easily. As a project manager, this was necessary to my ability to scan them at a glance instead of custom-searching through all of them. When all bugs are visible, the new format (using colored outlines and text instead of background fills) are visually difficult to parse, and make the format feel extremely cramped.

Hi everyone,

Thank you for your comments. We have just released an update to the bug list that brings back some of the style of the old UI. Hopefully you'll like it better!

I'd love to hear your feedback & ideas.

Thanks,

Simon

Hey, thanks a lot for listening to us and changing the layout. Appreciate it.

It looks much better than earlier.

Way to go lean testing.
