Ability to delete a bug (if added by mistake) for a bug reporter

Can you give me an example of a situation why you would want to use this? Why not just edit it? 

Personally I found myself with 2 tickets written in 2 different days, practically equivalent. I forgot that previous day I already wrote a bug on a same topic. Generally in these cases, it seems more logical to delete one of them.
This is more true considering that actually "solved" or "closed" tickets continue to be listed together others, instead of being hidden in a specific repository....

By editing it I can just set its status so the bug will be visible but just marked as something else. If it was a mistake I'd rather not see it at all.
