color coding of bugs by severity

It would be code to highlight bugs by severity in the listing page. So it becomes clear at a glance which need immediate attention.

So for you, it's more important to color code by severity than by status?

I would rather have the bug color coded by severity and grouped by status

I agree. It is very useful to visually quickly recognize both status and severity. Solution proposed by Shashi could be ok for me too.

Severity is not equal to priority. Better to implement priority field.
