Have a setting to email when status changes at all, not just to feedback.

You'll "consider" this?  Seriously?  Have you ever actually used a defect tracking system?  Status changes often systemically result in responsibility shifting from one team member to another.  The idea that someone has to wait until I happen to remember to check to site to find out that something is awaiting my attention is ridiculous.

Any defect tracking system without a proper notification system is doomed.
