Formatting of text in Bugs detail

Currently is possible only to write a description in plain text, but often can be useful to visual format some words or sentences in order to highlight some concept, changing its color, underlining, etc..

That's a good idea. :-)
Another user suggested Markdown.

Markdown is not so easy and not so known. Many people, especially testers (not so trained in IT topics) probably don't know it. Eventually, Wiki syntax, that is more common, but anyway I continue to suggest a rich text toolbar, like one present in this forum for example... could be enough. But, please, also ability to write CODE, sometime is useful, especially in comments between developers
I feel like Markup is easy and common, but that's just me. The real goal is the ability to emphasize things, make lists, and like Luca said: code!
You should be able to hyperlink text in bugs
I think that hyperlinks are surely useful but only the first step. In a long description, ability to highlight single words or sentences and insert code snippets (for example as reference) could be very useful. A simple real case that happened me: My customers asked to add a specific code snippet related to Analytics in website. He provided me the exact snippet, leaving me to insert it into html code. Ability to visually distinguish it in bug detail, should be perfect.

The ability to create lists would also be very useful.

Maybe "checklists" as in Trello to slice in sub minor activities

After much discussion, the developers who build Lean Testing wanted markdown, so we'll be adding markdown this week.

Woohoo! Thanks, guys!

Do we know if it will be a particular flavor (e.g., Stack Overflow vs Github), or stock, or even LT specific?

Not sure yet - we'll evaluate all options and figure it out today or tomorrow.

mhmmm as I said in the past I think that markdown is not so known by non-IT people like customers that open bugs but....... at least, please add some minor real-time suggestions to help people to write formatted text, such as in StackOverflow comments area in which an hidden text give users a little help

This is going to be deployed today or tomorrow at latest. Details here: https://leantesting.com/resources/markdown/
